Anna Danes is a singer-songwriter whose original songs — cinematic, warm, and rooted in everyday life — find the wonder hidden in ordinary moments.

Born in Poland and raised as a refugee in Canada, she came to music entirely by accident — at her eight-year-old daughter’s singing lesson, when the child refused to sing, Anna took her place so the hour wouldn’t go to waste, and never stopped. What followed: two albums, a Billboard-charting record, sold-out shows, and a TEDx talk. Now dividing her time between a small Greek island and California, she has written her most personal record yet — her first album fully in her own voice, with new music arriving in 2026.

She writes the way she lives: paying attention. Lemons in the morning light, a friend arriving with wine, people reaching for one another across every kind of border. Her songs are quiet arguments for looking a little more closely at the life we already have.
